Most of the collection concerns the A. Cressy Morrison Prize. Correspondence includes letters between Academy officers and members with Morrison, including his letters regarding contributions he made for the prize, the recording secretary, recipients of awards, prize committee members, and contestants. Some papers are included, as are a list of Morrison prize recipients up until 1951, and a short biography of Morrison. Material relating to the Morrison Prize spans, 1922-1955. Also, reprints of papers awarded prizes by the Academy published in outside journals, 1926-1944. All are A. Cressy Morrison Award papers except for one, a George Frederick Kunz Prize paper; and correspondence pertaining to various awards given by the Academy to scientists with varied backgrounds, 1974-1976.
